By all means, stop into this lovely church for a bit when you are at Linlithgow Palace. The history here is interesting and the architecture is exciting, too.

We visited St. Michael's just before we went to Linlithgow Palace (the two are adjacent to one another). A beautiful church, especially if the sun is streaming through its stained glass windows. Very friendly and knowledgeable guides added to the visit. The background history of...More

Go for Linlithgow and stay for the church. The interior of this church is one of the more striking parish churches you will find. The windows are gorgeous. The church feels more like a more stately cathedral. Entry seems to be combined with the castle....More

What a beautiful church. The scale, proportion and internal architectural details embrace the visitor. The stained glass is jaw droppingly gorgeous! The helpful, friendly and knowledgeable volunteers inside were wonderful and added hugely to our visit.

After going through Linlithgow Palace it just makes sense to enter St Michael's next door. Very friendly people helping inside and of course a lot of intriguing history. The modern stained glass on one side was unique. All in all a delightful visit.

Stopped in before visiting Linlithgow Palace late one afternoon. Very knowledgeable docents. Beautiful building with absolutely unique "crown" atop the tower. Located within the Palace grounds. Well worth a visit!

Alone it's a very nice church but if you look into the history especially with the Mary Queen of Scots connection it;s pretty interesing. Its right next to the palace so you can do both in the same day easy.
