This is an enjoyable hour's pastime: viewing the many artifacts in the Clare Museum. They've done their best to capture Ennis' connections to historical events over the past couple of centuries. The museum is professionally laid out and quite worth your time.

The history of county Clare from prehistoric times to the present. I was pleasantly surprised to find this museum to be as interesting as it was informative. And it is FREE!

Very nice small museum, and a nice place to start your trip to learn about the area. History, art, and culture all in one place.

Lovely museum that tells the history of the local area from Neolithic times onwards. The highlight was the oral histories which are really interesting. Entrance is free but be warned that it closes for lunch, which meant that we had to rush the end of...More
