Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a really nice bit of greenery in the city centre. It's a peculiar little spot with some nice seating and trees and I love the two entrances.
It can however, be a gathering area for some dodgy stuff like drinking and drugs so a bit of caution advised if you are sitting there for a bit.
Otherwise, have a seat!

Had there been no people in this park, I would have probably given this park a better rating. Physically, the park is really quaint and a nice piece of green space in Cork's city centre. Plenty of shade from the trees, fountains and lots of benches. However, I found that there were some dodgy folk hanging around which made enjoying a nice lunch outside difficult. I would avoid this place if you can.

This is a nice park in the city centre just on Grand Parade. There are plenty of areas to sit and enjoy some time.
What is not so nice is the amount of drinking, drug use and intimidating behaviour.
Keep your visit to bright, daylight hours.

Sorry excuse for a green area in the city, but if open air drinking and drug use is your thing it's pretty good.

Dangerous little park, 2 entrances and exits, not a safe place, needs to be policed or secured. Drunkenness, persons high and openingly dealing in groups, its a meeting place for activity, its a walk through at your own risk at best, this is not a park in any real sense, I would challenge anyone who would argue to have a picnic and sit out on the grass with kids, its disgusting, felt sorry for the poor guy from the council I saw cleaning up the remnants of paraphernalia, please be careful going through this area, if cleaned up and crime elements removed it could be really something, until then be aware and be safe, :)

This is our third visit to Cork. Each time we arrive in Cobh on a cruise ship and take the train to Cork. We wanted to explore neighborhoods and sites we had not been to before so with our trusty map off we went. In early afternoon we found ourselves on the Grand Parade in front of the library and noticed this small park. We entered the gated park and found a shady bench upon which to rest. The we discovered the Medival City Wall, The Berwick Fountain and another fountain and statue of swans in flight. It is a lovely, peaceful and relaxing place right down the street from the English Market. So easily missed if you are tourist like us. Give it a look.
