About
Mizen to Malin with Wild Atlantic cycling is an end-to-end bike tour of Ireland. Think of it as the Irish equivalent of Britain’s Land’s End to John O’Groats, but with rugged coastline, Irish music, unique landscapes and lively pubs. Ireland's end-to-end really is something different.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

WAC is quite simply the ‘go to’ company for supported cycle touring in Ireland, both North and South of the border. I’ve cycled on 4 continents and I have to say I couldn’t believe the standard of hotels, scenery, support and friendliness of everyone I met, from staff to locals. If you haven’t cycled in Ireland it’s a definite’bucket list’ destination and no one does it better than WAC - thanks Paul, Fiona, Brian and Stephen - GB

Spectacular trip. Great biking across several islands in the Adriatic Sea with transport and home base on an exquisite wood gulet (yacht). A trip to remember.

Just completed the 12-day Miz-Mal ride wit Wild Atlantic Cycling. The trip organisation was superb, the route was designed to be away from main roads and took us through wonderful scenery. The weather may not have been the best for our trip but it was great fun! It was a great bunch of people that took part and all got on well together and overall was a truly wonderful experience. It was also great that we had support each day from Paul & Fi who were always on hand to help. The overnight accommodation was excellent, as was the craic amongst all those taking part. Can't recommend this tour highly enough!!

Hi Aidan! Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Fi and I loved it too! Despite some not so good luck with the weather :-)

What a wonderful experience! The 12 day trip allows time to take in the scenery and explore the overnight stops, as well as doing the cycling at your own pace. And the views are great, the colours are amazing and vary with the light (this is Ireland: make the most of the variety of weather!).
The route is interesting and gives a great experience of the west coast. Organisation is spot on, overnight stops pleasant, clean and nicely located, and there’s always a helping hand.
I love multi-day cycling, and this is definitely one I enjoyed a lot: it met its ranking on my bucket list and it should be on yours, too!

The tour from Mizen Head ( southernmost point in Ireland) to Malin Head ( northernmost Point) covered 635 miles over 12 days of cycling - so average approx 50 miles a day. Paul and Fiona - the tour organizers and owners of Wild Atlantic - accompanied the tour in sag vans. They were super - friendly, very helpful, and well organized. They book all the hotels, plan the routes, and transport luggage. They also help with problems anyone has along the way.
The routes were very well planned and avoided busy roads where possible. The scenery is fantastic. Being Ireland, you have to be prepared to cycle in the rain.
You should be a reasonably fit cyclist, but you don’t have to be super avid, although some in our group were. If you rent bikes through Wild Atlantic , bring your own pedals, because cleats -while not essential - will definitely help. The rental bikes come with flat pedals.
If what you want is to do a lot of sightseeing, there really isn’t much time for that - i.e. not much time for castles and churches. However, you usually arrive in town early enough to walk around and listen to music in the pubs.
All of the hotels they book are quite nice. Breakfast and lunch included. You are in your own for dinner.
Definitely a great company, and great tour.

A truest terrific route around the top of Scotland, however the tarmac in places is somewhat worn out so fit fatter tyres than you normally would for a road bike, something like 30 mm is OK
