The English Market is Heaven on earth to people looking for good quality food. It is full of stalls with every type of meat and fish you can think of, if you don't get what you want I would be very surprised. You can also eat in the market and its right in the city centre.

This market is a treasure in that it has been in existence for a very long time indeed. Walking through its aisles of fresh meats, seafood, vegetables and sweets is just plain fun. I would highly recommend a stroll through. As a tourist be careful as this is alive market and these folks are doing real business. Hop out of... More

Visited the famous English Market for the first time on Saturday afternoon. Its a true gem, such a wonderful array of fresh foods. Everything you could want is under this one roof. Stall holders were all pleasant and friendly. If i lived in Cork city i would be shopping here every day.

Going there almost like on the excursion through the tastes and exclusive products from all over the world. The prices are high, but worth the cost. For me it almost replaces farmers market as the variety is better and the quality is always nice and fresh.

Trading since the 1700s, visited by the Queen and recommended by Rick Stein, the English Market is situated smack bang in the centre of Cork. An attraction to locals and tourists alike, it offers a tremendous range of produce and if you just want something to eat or drink, there is a wonderful selection of stall to satisfy your cravings.

You can pick up nice chocolates and jams little things like that as gifts. There is one place to eat in there that we saw. It was nice to see and try for samples. If... More

Loved visiting this market centrally located in Cork. Not too big and not too small. Lovely to have a coffee and snack upstairs and to learn interesting historical facts about Ireland.

I always try to visit local markets when I travel. This market offers a lot of charm, energy and a great selection of fresh food and drink. The vendors I had a chance to chat with were eager to discuss their offerings and quick to point out the best deals. And, its location in the middle of bustling Cork makes... More
