Also got my hair coloured in one of the little shops in one of the arcades that lead in and out of the market. Chair Ministry of Hair. Really nice people. I am lucky to live near the English market and shop here all the time for meat, fish, veg and bread. I like to buy food that is fresh and locally produced which is better for my family and for the environment.

While walking around in Cork we stopped by the English Market. Great selection of local meat, seafood, cheese, etc. Would be a great place to go with some friends to sort out the pieces for a casual dinner gathering. Many other little booths with a variety of things for sale as well.

A must for every visitor to Cork. Even the locals that visit this market are charmed by the level customer care and the variety of foodstuffs; some that are now only available at this unique shopping / tourist destination.

The Old English Market in the heart of Cork City is a must visit destination for visitors. It has a number of meat stalls, coffee shops and few other stalls all in an enclosed roofed area.

It took me and my friend almost 2 hours just to visit the many stalls inside the market. Has a great variety of cheese, chocolates and seafood. We loved the experience and my personal favorite were the shops selling home-made and organic stuff such as honey, jams, etc. We ended up buying small jars of home-made jams and chutneys as... More
