Very nice and peaceful cemetery just outside Cork City. it wasn't difficult to find Rory's grave. The grave is nicely kept with remembrances from all over the world. The cemetery is not hard to get to. Parking is ample and the cemetery was not crowded.

If you are a Rory Gallagher fan - and I have been since about 1966 - this is a must visit - a pilgrimage in fact. It didn't disappoint.

My mother is buried beside Rory Gallagher so it would be hard to miss his grave. He was a very close neighbour of ours when I was growing up

Had to come along to say hello to one of my guitar heroes. Sad place but joy to see and pay homage. Don't understand how anyone can't give this grave 5 stars!

Having been to Cork on the weekend before Rory's passing, the visit to the grave side seemed a little somber. Taking a Cork taxis straight to the cemetery was the best option. The graveside is easily noticeable and you feel a strong sense of 'belonging'....More

I didn't notice the opening hours...but if you put St. Oliver's Cemetery Cork into a search engine - it'll tell you. Most cemeteries are open in Ireland on a Sunday so family can visit loved ones.
