This building played a part in the 1916 Easter rising for Independence & served as the headquarters of the uprising. Besides that, its a beautiful building and on a main street in town, that you'd probably pass, so stop and see some history.

Always find the General Post Office useful, you can pay all your Bills , post your mail, buy stamps , and do the lottery , great place 👌

I use this Post Office a lot , for Bill paying, and the purchase of stamps, as I still do long hand , a few tellers are grumpy, but most of all the staff are really helpful,

If you want to buy stamps or send a parcel and this is the closest post-office then this might be somewhere to go. Otherwise I am not sure what the attraction is.

This is a common enough limestone fronted building, totally bastardised inside. There is nothing of architectural or other merit to see therein.

Was very surprised, great fast service, brilliant people who really care, this is THE BEST PLACE to exchange foreign currency, no fees are added like they do in banks!
