If you find yourself in the area, it’s a nice walk about the castle. We didn’t pay for a tour but spent about 30mins looking around. Lovely views and enjoyed a quick stop in the small coffee shop too.

Beautiful location and view. Down quite a narrow road. Very quiet. Part of the walls remains well preserved.

This is a great castle with a tower house inside defensive walls. The castle sits on the end of a small peninsular with fantastic views across a small bay. The view is almost worth the trip in itself. The castle is run by the OPW...More

While touring the Sheephaven Bay area, I found Doe Castle (it's down a narrow road of course). It's an historic beauty and right on the bay. I'm glad I took the extra time to find it and drive that bloody cow-lane road (although I found...More
