We had not planned to visit Aran Islands but after hearing from several people that we should go, we decided to do a day trip. So glad we did! We debated on which island but decided Inishmore since it was the largest and seemed to...More

These islands are fantastic. We arrived by ferry to Inis Mor and decided to take the guided bus tour. It was the best bang for our buck being 15 Euro a piece for a 3 hour ride across the island. The driver was a local...More

My wife and I planned this trip as part of a West Coast auto tour and can’t recommend it more highly! We headed out from Galway and made the 45 drive to the Rossaveal ferry-very easy connection. The ferry ride was comfy and quick. We...More

We loved Inis Mor and would definitely recommend it as a charming place to stay. We arrived by ferry and were met by our Airbnb hostess who drove us to her place. We explored by walking on the first day, but soon realised that we...More

We visited Inishmore end of July 2017. It's billed as a beautiful remote place where the locals still speak Gaelic. It is all of that but also overrun by tourist buses. We rented bikes to ride to Dun Aenghus (a must visit it is spectacular)....More

A fabulous island to visit. Take a guided bus trip around the area & learn how the islanders live. Or you can go by bicycle or horse & cart. Fascinating day.

Beware of the mini-buses touting for business as you get off the ferry. Decent enough chap doing the driving. He did have local knowledge, obviously. The full trip took 2 and a half hours, with an hour and a half at the stone fort. The...More

Lots of bus drivers available to take tourists on an island tour as they get off the ferries and lots of good reviews. We decided to delay our tour an hour or so and at that stage there was only one operator left. Not a...More

Just wanting to warn those wanting to stay the night: the weather can cancel your trip, or the choice of ferry. We had planned to close our trip with an overnight stay. We were staying in Ennis and had bought round trip (overnight) ferry tickets...More

They're the closest and unless you're travelling at a peak time (mid-summer on a weekend) you won't need to book.
