My wife and I took the Newgrange tour which included the Hill of Tara, Hill of Slane and Monasterboice. It was a small tour with only 11 people and very enjoyable personal experience. Our tour guide, Martin, was an excellent tour guide with and incredible knowledge of the history of Ireland and Europe. If he did not know the answer... More

This is not just a drive into the countryside to pop and see a few hills, crosses and large burial mound.....its a sudden blast of Irish history - like you'll never have experienced before! It is not just a 'tour' but an entire EXPERIENCE. If you are looking for the best, then look no further. There can be nothing better!... More

We took the Newgrange and Tara tour. We arrived early at Newgrange just in time to get the first tour as they opened and beat the crowds. We then visited Monasterboice and Slane before ending our tour in Tara. Martin, our driver and guide was knowledgeable and gave just the right amount and necessary information. Time management was perfect. Information... More

This was a perfect way to spend half a day in the beautiful Wicklow countryside. Weather was grand, tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, the size of the group allows a chance for all to get to see and ask questions. Great way to get away from the hustle & bustle of Dublin City at the height of university opening... More

Our tour guide was Damian and he was amazing! He shared stories, facts, history, and made the entire tour very special. Our tour was limited to 14 people, we departed on time, and we visited Newgrange, Hill of Tara, Hill of Slane and a fourth location with Celtic Crosses. Damian prepared us for what we'd see and once we were... More

Martin, our guide, did a great job in getting us to key places in New Grange. It is often hard to see this facility without reservations. It rained a bit while we were there, but we had a grade time. As an aside, it is always good to have a light poncho in Ireland. The site itself is amazing and... More

I purposely booked this trip because of the small group aspect. Bottom line: It was absolutely wonderful. Martin was a terrific guide - knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. Everything was taken care of at Newgrange, so we had ample time to see the passage tomb, do a bit of shopping, and have lunch. I was gobsmacked by Newgrange. Monasterboice was fascinating,... More

Day Tours Unplugged is about 10 Euro more per person than some of the larger tours, but well worth it as small tour group of no more than 14. Our group was only 7 so was very friendly and much more personalized.....also get more time on your own. Driver gave us information but also allowed us to talk amongst ourselves... More

When I come back to Dublin again, I will take another tour with this group. Mr.Damian O Reilly was great, very friendly and funny and very well informed. I got to see and learn things I otherwise wouldn't have been able to and I had lots of fun! The tour group was 11 people and the van we traveled in... More

Note: verbosity ahead. Skip to the TL;DR if you prefer. I hate writing bad reviews. I'd rather write nothing at all. But I really feel compelled to warn travelers so they don't end up in the same sad situation I found myself in with this company. I traveled through Ireland solo at the end of August. Two of the most... More

Many thanks for taking the time to review your experience. I appreciate that you were disappointed that the tour to Newgrange was cancelled. As you pointed out there were another 3 persons scheduled to travel, and the tour was going to run on that date. It transpires that the three other passengers were also at the pickup point with there... More
