The Pearse Lyons distillery is a hidden gem in terms of Irish distilleries! The site itself is steeped in history and the former church has been beautifully restored and given a new lease of life. The staff are very passionate and knowledgeable and couldn’t have...More

The restoration of St. James Church is amazing! And the care with which the distillery was constructed to still respect the church is so very evident. Outstanding tour guides and fantastic Irish Whisky. It is worth your time to visit!

Where else will you have the chance to not only tour a beautiful, centuries old church, but also hear about how the Lyons family turned it into a distillery? Nowhere, that's where. This may be a relatively new distillery, but the whiskey is fantastic. They...More

What a joy, a distillery in a church! They have spent 25 million euro on this place and the whisky and gin is marvellous.

I enjoyed this tour because it started with a historical portion since the distillery was formerly a church. They were doing restoration and historical research in the cemetery and shared what they had learned. Our tour guide (Gareth) was very knowledgeable and funny. The building...More

While looking for a brew place, we found the Pearse Distillery, a church turned into a whiskey making machine. The tour was interesting and educational; the whiskey good.

New distillery- Here is what I have to say. Your paying for a great church restoration. Great tour guide! Skimpy samples. They have a rhubarb gin I wanted to try and they wanted 2€ for a small splash 🙁. I could have skipped this one.

Uniquely located in a deconsecrated church, this newest Irish whiskey distillery is on the west end of town, just behind the Guinness Storehouse. A beautiful mix of old and new, the entrance and offices, as well as the very new spire, are done in glass...More
