I have to begin by saying I'm a huge fan of the stained glass artist Harry Clarke. This museum houses perhaps his best work, 'The eve of St. Agnes'. I often drop in just to be with this magical piece. If I have time, I'll...More

We really enjoyed this museum. There is a lot of interesting art and we also enjoyed the special exhibits. We saw a really weirdly entrancing video art installation with the man wearing the panda suit. The Francis Bacon studio and exhibit is also cool. Don't...More

We had seen the painting and read Paul Rouse’s piece in the Examiner concerning The Tipperary Hurler and followed his excellent directions as we made our visit a ‘curtain raiser’ to the Dunlin hurling final replay in nearby Donnycarney. The painting is superb, life-like and...More

2 small cappuccinos and 2 small cakes - €15.80!!! Are they crazy? The very nice but unkempt waiter said the cakes were new - ‘that’s why they are so dear’... Disgraceful!

This is one of the best art galleries I've seen. Free admission. Free audio guides. Local and international art of the first caliber. Strongly recommend seeing it.

If you like art you will love this gallery. So much to offer, my favourite is the Francis Bacon Studio. They also have lovely lunch time concerts on Sunday. Great for lunch too.

This was a weird museum. We initially went here as I had read that there was a Monet on display. I am a huge Monet fan and always go to galleries that have his paintings. We were specifically going to this galley to see that...More

Such an interesting gallery - a good mix of modern art and some more traditional exhibitions as well. Francis Bacon's art studio was fascinating. The best way to kill a few hours in Dublin and if you time it well you can enjoy a beautiful...More

It's close to the north end of O'Connell Street and on many of the tour bus routes. There are lots of hotels in this district, it's prime tourist territory
