Had Guinness at Mulligans on our regular monthly trip. It was sour & told the barman. After some discussion it was replaced but done with such bad grace that we left. We went for some excellent and musc cheaper Guinness in Kennedys and O'Reillys round...More

A little bit out of the way (Poolbeg St) and it took us quite a while to find it. Although the place was pretty cool on the inside, an old Dublin looking pub, other than that it was pretty average. They had a good selection...More

Friendly staff no food unless you like peanut and Chrips. Dublin basic diet. It's a place for over 30yrs . No tv that explains everything! Ps. Don't listen to the local guide, listen to the guy and girl on holiday's... keep Smiling.

OK, Heads up.. I am a regular in Mulligans and without doubt, its one of the best pubs in Dublin. It has great atmosphere, and has that "we are all here together" feel about it. Tourists and locals are shoulder to shoulder with each other...More

Wandered into this pub based on a recommendation of a local and it did not disappoint. No frills pub with so much character. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting/chatting with the bartender (who I believe is also the owner) as well as others in the bar.

This place is great to get the "real" news of Dublin. James Joyce took several "snapshots" from here to almost every single book he had wrote. Forget "Ulysses". Try to read "The Dublinners" before went there.
