A magnificent cathedral that houses Jonathan Swift's remains (he wrote Gulliver's Travels). It is the only remaining cathedral in Ireland with a daily sung services. A small entrance fee is charged for tourists and all money raised goes back to paying for the upkeep of the building.

Saint Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, founded in 1191, is the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland, an Anglican church. It is the tallest church in Ireland and the largest. The cathedral is in remarkably good condition, owing in part to its renovation in 1865 by Sir Benjamin Lee Guinness who is memorialized by his sculpture in the churchyard. It... More

The cathedral is just beautiful and a must-see when in Dublin. The stained glass windows are gorgeous and the design of the inside is jaw-dropping. It's very moving to be in such a grand place with (almost) absolute silence. Everyone was very respectful of the environment. If you have time, you should definitely stop by and admire the beauty of... More

We went in 2012 The cathedral was absolutely stunning and you can feel the history in every step. The stained glass is some of the most intricate and detailed I've ever seen.

If you don't mind paying to see the inside of a cathedral (a little strange to me but whatever), it's quite beautiful and worth a visit!

This cathedral is amazing, the only thing that still is not clear, is the payment... Why you should let pay to visit a cathedral like that!?! But anyway is one of the things to don't miss in Dublin!

The atmosphere was stunning, religious almost intimate. It is worth spending time, looking at all the details, the monuments, the texts, while enjoying the serene views.

This is aglican church dating back to 1100 with the most beautiful stained glass. Its an easy walk around illustrating the history of early day Ireland. Very famous Irish are buried within the church.
