One of our guides told us to try this pub for a real feel of an Irish pub. We were going to go for dinner - note: they only serve ham and cheese sandwiches - this is for drinking! I probably wouldn't have done a review except it was by far and away the BEST Irish coffee I have ever... More

Do not miss this place if you are visiting Dublin. The beer flows freely, the traditional music is uplifting and the history of O'Donoghue's Bar is second to none. O'Donoghue's was recommended by an Irish relative who is a musician and has close links to The Dubliners. One wish my family and I had was to sit in a pub... More

We stopped in On December 30 and it was very crowded due to the holidays. We found a few seats in the back-a very old bar with character not far from St. Stephen's Green.

Came here with two colleagues who are from the Netherlands for a drink before our Christmas meal and celebrations. It was super busy but we were served very quickly. It is definitely your typical Irish pub which I enjoyed. Two men were in the corner practicing their flute. We had to stand by the door it was so busy but... More

Firstly this is a great bar, great beer, staff and a mixture of great bands. This is also the pub that Ireland's greatest band (no not U2) the Dubliners were formed. A great place to mingle with the locals and take in some real Irish atmosphere

This pub has history with the Dubliners and is a good place to visit. If the small front bar is full don't be put off as there is another room at the back and the old carriage entrance has been made into a heated covered seating area - vast.

Traditional Irish pub, with great live traditional Irish music. We visited the pub twice yesterday as two different music sessions one in the afternoon and then one in the evening. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and customers.

We spent a fantastic evening in that pub. What a friendly atmosphere and great people! If you're lucky enough, you will bound with the other customers / musicians. Loved it!
