About
Say cheers at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, Ireland. Housed in an old fermentation plant, the seven-story brewery gives you the lowdown on Ireland’s iconic beer. Start by standing at the bottom of the world’s largest pint glass and then make your way through the different stages of production before enjoying a complimentary pint with a view at Gravity Bar, Dublin’s highest bar. Even better, learn to pour your own pint with the Guinness Academy Experience.
The Guinness Storehouse is within walking distance from Dublin city center; tourists can also get there via the hop-on, hop-off bus.

- danajakimova967 contributionsSlightly overpricedSlightly overpriced for what you get! Yes it’s amazing massive building and a lot to see but I was hugely disappointed that there is no tours on any of the first floors - tour guides definitely make a difference. If you did decide to have only audio guide then at least have it in more languages including the english. Singers where absolutely lovely and last 2–3 floors where interesting as there were tour guides and interactionHi there, Thank you so much for your review. - Lani G3 contributionsDon’t waist your time. This would have been an excellent and informative visit but there were so many people on the tour with us that it completely ruined the experience. With it being so crowded it was extremely difficult to get close to an exhibit to read the informative sign or enjoy viewing it because you could not fully see it. By the time you got to the top to have your Guinness with your ticket and view the city, it was full of people with no where to stand and put your drink down for pictures. Even the bartenders hardly cracked a smile while pouring one drink after another to keep up with the crowds. I suggest you do not waist your money. Enjoy your day at Phoenix Park instead with peace and awe and stop for a Guinness somewhere after. That would be an enjoyable day!Hi there, Thank you so much for your review. We are so sorry to hear that you didn't find your experience enjoyable. We do try to keep a steady flow of people throughout the building, but we can understand that it can get quite busy at peak times throughout the day. The 360 views were lovely and the amount of information and work that goes into this product was interesting. - James B1 contributionWhat the hell? The tour itself is fascinating and the Gravity Bar gives a wonderful 360° view of Dublin, but is it really necessary to blast the music out at 100 decibels? It's not a nightclub, I shouldn't have to shout to talk to my family. I mean, I work at an airport for Christ's sake. I'm used to loud noises, but it was so intrusive I left this bar with a massive headache. Thanks for ruining the experience.Hello there, Thanks so much for sharing your visit to the Guinness Storehouse. We are extremely sorry to hear about your experience in the Gravity Bar. We do have a different DJ playing in the Gravity Bar each day so that hopefully during your next visit it will not be so loud. - Louise C9 contributionsDisappointingDisappointing self guided tour- very basic information on several floors . Tasting room was a nice experience but I have no idea why they insist on cramming people into rooms and closing the doors so you’re shoulder to shoulder with other guests - I’m thinking covid taught us very little. It really felt like the entrance fee was like paying to gain entry into a bar ! The sky bar has great views of Dublin but there was not enough seating in either of the bars to enjoy the complimentary beer. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it was more than this - they need more customer interaction experiences . If I had my time again I would of done a whisky tour instead!Hello there, Thank you for taking the time to write up a review. We are sorry to hear we did not live up to your expectations. We understand that certain areas around the building can get quite busy so we do have systems set in place to keep the crowds moving and ensure a steady flow. We also have the Stoutie and Guinness Academy experience on the 4th floor where visitors can either get a picture of their face printed on a pint of Guinness or be taught by a member of staff how to correctly pour and serve a pint of Guinness. However, we value customer feedback and we will take everything you have said onboard. - Wander610392Chester-le-Street, United Kingdom23 contributionsStorehouse visit 21st Jan 2023Tour was over priced, €30 to walk round a few floors with memorabilia. A number of floors towards the top had nothing at all on them. Four was self guided, nothing explained for the price I would have expected a guide especially as tickets were time stamped and pre booked. Only enjoyable part of the the tour was the view from the gravity bar. - DRNJ1960Douglas, United Kingdom293 contributionsJust shameful, Guinness!Visiting Dublin for the first time we naturally had to join the crowds and visit the Guinness Storehouse. Even though we had booked tickets for a particular day and time slot we still had to stand in a long queue. Upon entering its a bit of a madhouse to get past the souvenir shop and start the tour. We then found ourselves in another long queue. And one that barely moved. When it did move it was to arrive at a sign and a picture of barley. Then the same wait to arrive at a sign and picture of water. And so on... we rushed up a floor to try and find anything of interest. It was not until we reached a higher level and saw some of the vintage items from Guinness' long history that anyone was interested. Various sampling areas started to appear but they required a further fee. The one sampling room which was included in our ticket was a rather over the top scene of standing around in a white room with a shot glass of Guinness and paying homage to the great brewery (which incidentally does not brew here anymore). We then finally hacked our way through the mobs of people to reach the rooftop bar only to be met with... you guessed it - lot's of people! Push to the bar, get your free pint of Guinness, then get asked to step away from the bar to enjoy the 360 panoramic view - which is now surrounded on 3 sides by scaffolding and cranes as they are building all around the Guinness building. In a few years there will be no view so the marketing team will have to spin this final experience a bit differently. So basically for over £30 per person (x 5) we got a crowded series of floors with posters to read, a shot glass worth of Guinness and a pint on the top floor with blaring music. Oh yes, and the right to enter the souvenir shop to spend even more money. Shame on you Guinness! This review is not about the actual beer which is fantastic. It's how they are taking advantage of their name and reputation that offends me. If you want a much better experience skip this tourist trap and book a table around the corner at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery where you can sample a multitude of wonderful beers and enjoy some great food.Hello there, Thank you so much for your review. We are so sorry to hear that the experience did not live up to your expectations. We do try our hardest to keep a steady flow of people through the building but we are very much aware that it can get quite crowded and busy throughout the day and we are so disappointed to hear that this had a negative impact on your visit. - texaskc2012San Antonio, Texas25 contributionsNot a must-seeAll restaurants inside were closed the day of our visit with no advance warning. There was not enough seating in the gravity bar on the top floor, and good luck finding a taxi any time after 5 pm. The staff said I should call a taxi, but if you do not have international cell service, you are in a real bind. Not the must-see attraction I thought it would be. Over-hyped. You can skip it unless you are super interested in the brewing process.Hello there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! My husband I visited the storehouse for a short trip to Dublin. If you are visiting Dublin, this experience is a must. It was so well done and even if you're not a big beer fan (like me), it was still so worthwhile. We booked in advance which you need to do before visiting, so be advised to do that before you go. We also added on the experience of pulling our own pint. That was so much fun! And oddly nerve wracking! The staff were friendly and the whole experience was so good!

We booked the four hour Guinness Brewery Experience. We were a bit concerned at first because (a) four hours seemed like a long time and (b) it was pricy. It was so worth it!! Colum and Lee were excellent tour guides, so friendly and knowledgeable. The whole experience felt comfortable and relaxed. It was so cool going behind the scenes. The lunch was delicious. Everything about the tour was excellent - definitely worth the upgrade. Leave 5 hours though for yourself, we started at 12 and didn’t leave until 17:30. Thanks so much Lee and Colum!!!

I just returned from Dublin, and having participated in the Guinness Brewery Experience I can say that it’s well worth the price of entry.
Aside from getting to see parts of the grounds which are off-limits to most people, the guides are pure brilliance. Colm and Michael have so much knowledge about not only how stouts are made but also the 250 year history of brewing in The Liberties.
Your day also includes a 4-course meal and the first taste of the beautiful stout is here. The meal was tasty and well presented, but the highlight was again the staff. Getting to break bread with Colm and Michael was truly a treat.
Finally you’ll be escorted to the Gravity Bar where you’ll be presented with yet another pint, along with a token for one last pint…(for the road).
The day we were there the floor-to-ceiling windows were filled with views of Dublin which were breathtaking.
Can’t recommend this enough!!!

We did the tour and the Stoutie experience and we really enjoyed it. We were all a bit delicate when we arrived and the thought of another pint of Guinness made our stomachs turn but we powered through and had the best time.
Very informative when walking around. If you want to have food, you would be better booking a time slot.
The guinness shop is pricey and you can get the same items cheaper in the shops in the centre.

Booked to come here as it had been 20 years since I've been here and wanted to get an up to date memory. Got tickets for my boyfriends birthday to do whilst in Dublin and was very disappointed. Your €2 if you want an audio tour but your literally left to go round and look yourself without anyone talking to you about it. Loads of steps in some areas, and a sky bar which has great views but you can't get a seat or near a window to enjoy the views. Would not recommend, maybe different if your a guiness fan but not for us and was in and out within 45 minutes.

What a tourist trap. You pay ~€30 to walk around a concocted “factory” with wall posters. A guy tells you how to drink a shot glass of Guinness, then you wait to the end to get to an overcrowded “Gravity Bar” to get a pint. No place to sit to enjoy the view. All the tat and tinsel of US “attractions”. It’s just the worst thing to do in Dublin. Go see Jameson’s or even better Dublina Viking museum. The euros you save can be better spent in any pub in the city with atmosphere instead of this sterile effort Guinness provided.

I think it’s free, when we went we were allowed to store our rucksacks for free (they just give you a ticket that you must return at then end to receive your bag) Im not sure about larger bags/suitcases though.

Hello!
We will be visiting the experience in November. We will only be able to come in the afternoon, but have seen the closing time is 17.00h. However, the last available ticket is at 16.45h.
Do they actually close at 17.00h or is it just last entrance? What is the actual closing time?
Thanks!
