Interesting, well organized, and very educational tour. A great deal of history packed into a short tour. The jail is visually stunning, and the museum at end of tour quite compelling. Hard to recommend for young children, as the subject matter is a bit bleak and much of it will be over their heads, but for teens and adults it... More

Myself and my partner visited the Jail recently. It was a fantastic experience going around the jail and hearing about the history of it. Adam, our guide, was brilliant; he knew a great deal of knowledge and made the tour a fun and interesting one. The perfect personality for the tour! I'd like to thank him a lot. Would recommend... We didn't book tickets, but the man at the door was extremely helpful and got us slotted into the next guided tour. Rather than make us wait the hour he was helpful explained we could go to the cafe, the modern art museum (which is free) or go for a wee drink while we waited. On returning to the Gaol... More

Really disappointed to find out how popular this attraction is - we are due to go to Dublin next weekend, and found that all pre-bookable tickets are sold out. There's always next time I suppose...

Our Guide named Adam was so nice and friendly. You can literally feel that he tries very very hard to connect to the guests and made the Tour very exciting. :-) The one hour of the Tour went by very quickly and we really felt well treated the whole Tour. Additionally he was very protective and nobody hit his head... More

Fantastic 2 hours spent here, the guided tours are excellent, the guides are lovely and give plenty of information. Need to be good on the legs though, not a place for babies or the feeble, lots of steep steps.

Spent the weekend in Dublin and upon having a look at things to do this popped up. I didn't know any of the Irish history or anything about the jail itself but this tour was interesting, informative and eye-opening! I'd recommend booking online before you go. We booked on the day and all of the sessions were already sold out... More
