Went with the family as this was recommended to me by a friend. Well worth it. An amazing sense of history.

We did not get our tickets in advance, so when we showed up one raining Saturday afternoon to book the tour it was SOLD OUT! I didn't think that was remotely likely to happen. You can book online, they said most folks do that. I would suggest doing this attraction at the same time as the Guiness tour- they are... More

We had booked ahead on line which is a must to guarantee entry. Our guide Evelyn not only gave us an informative tour but showed a real knowledge of the history of the gaol and was very willing and able to answer our questions. After the tour there is plenty to see and read about in the museum. Do wrap... More

I would highly recommend a visit here as history comes into perspective here. The tours are really well organised and the stories behind the people imprisoned here come to life. I must visit for anyone with Irish roots or whom can empathise with the sadness but also the bravery of the people who spent time here

It was a cold day when I was there but that only gave you an inkling of the cold the prisoners felt - the tour guide really gives you a well-rounded picture of the story around the gaol. So moving!

The museum was free and it fit our time schedule. Lots of interesting items on display. I think we got a good feel without doing the guided tour.

Friends had visited Dublin a couple of months ago and raved about the gaol. As they are hard to please, I wanted to experience this myself. We were not disappointed although we had to return the following day as the place was sold out on the Saturday. Katie(?) was our tour guide and her passion and knowledge, for me, made... More

I visited here recently with some friends. We had a great tour guide who shared loads of interesting stories with us. Had a lovely coffee and cake afterwards in the cafe which is a Brambles cafe and didn't disappoint! Great spot for tourists and locals alike.

We have tried to do this tour several times but it's always booked up!! I can understand why after doing it . The tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable and happy to answer many questions we had. The place is a little eerie but that adds to it . Overall well worth the money and the museum after is... More
