I’m a garden addict. Whenever I see a rose bush that needs deadheading I have to restrain myself. The garden here is glorious. You travel along sit down loads of seating and sit be quiet and marvel.

I admit freely that my art preference is 'traditional', but as we were local - visiting Kilmainham Gaol and with a spare 90 minutes - we strolled across the road and through the park to the IMMA/Royal Hospital building. The current works in the galleries...More

Visited with some friends and was very disappointed. Such a nice old building but the contents weren’t anything to write home about. 95% of the exhibits were fairly disturbing and there was little info by way of explanation. Cafe was average and overpriced. Shame about...More

Probably is marvellous but i struggled to warm to the Modern Art on show. It is housed in a lovely building being the former Royal Hospital Kilmainham. Building was restored in 1984 and as IMMA in 1991. The garden and surrounds are very neat. The...More

I decided to not put photos up as it would spoil the trip but I’d recommend visiting if you’re into your art. Entry is free and usually lasts about an hour depending on how much you want to take in. The Irish Museum of Modern...More
