The history behind the Book of Kells was so neat. The intricate details of the writing and the drawings with amazingly beautiful colors was breathtaking. It's hard to remember that these books were over 1000 years old. A MUST SEE for Irish History.

Amazing room, the library! The Book of Kells is pretty impressive, and Boru's harp is a lovely piece of medieval craftsmanship, but oh that library is the most fantastic space I've ever seen indoors. Wow.

My wife and I went to this attraction with me 'kicking & screaming'; frankly I didn't think I'd enjoy it. Low and behold I loved every bit of it. The history was fascinating & there was plenty of it, presented in an captivating manner. The library oozed history & was spellbinding. I received & deserved the 'I told you so'... More

Although there could be multimedia to reduce the amount of reading required in the early rooms, the books themselves are great to see. The library and harp are beautiful and the location, at the heart of the university, makes if fun. I think to truly appreciate this attraction of both the Long Room (library) and The Book of Kells you have to be the type of person who can put yourself in the footsteps of history. If you are unable to picture the incredible amount of manual labor and love and devotion that went in to not only creating the Book... More

I wasn't sure about seeing an Old Library and the Book of Kells, but our travel companions wanted to, so we went. I very much enjoyed the library, although I had a hard time getting into the Book of Kells exhibit. All and all it was worth the visit and I'm glad they suggested the stop. The library was beautiful.

We did the tour of Trinity College, combined with seeing the Book of Kells (which has a little museum) and the library. It's a fun, short visit and worthwhile if you are interested in history.
