This is one of the best beaches in Dublin if you really want to stretch your legs and get some sea air. The views are amazing and you can walk for hours on the beach and in the dunes. It's worth the bit of effort to get there.

Dublin is not just about pubs & Guiness. It is surrounded by wondeful countryside, mountains and beaches all within striking distance of the city centre. Dolllymount is one of the beaches. It is 5k long with a sweeping clean sandy beach and sand dunes. It had spectacular views of Howth Head and the Wicklow mountains. There are 2 golf courses.... More

Dollymount strand is a beach on the bull island in Dublin bay opposite clontarf. The island is connected to the makn road by 2 bridges. The bridges walk is just over one kilometer long. You can walk on the sandy beach for a relaxing time near the sea water.

A spectacular beach and nature reserve only about three miles to the north east of Dublin's city centre, I have been here so many times over the years. People say the water is contaminated, people say it is bad here at night, but like most places it could be, you're not going to come here at night, it hasn't got... More

dollymount strand is the name of the beach on bull island. it runs about 4.5km along with a reserve for birds on one side. it is a great walk. the best way to access the beach is via the wood bridge from the main road. at the end of that walk is the Star of the Sea statue. there are... More

To solve the silting sand problem a stone pier from Dollymount (3200yards into the sea) was constructed, which connects to the 5km long sand beach golf course )To facilitate this a wooden bridge was laid.At the end of the stone pier is famous "Star of the sea" statue i.e. realt na Maria, funded by the port workers n sailors. It is... More

Take a short bus or bike ride to Clontarf on Dublin's Northside (don't believe the negative things you read in the travel books) and you will come to Bull Island , home to Dollymount Strand. Take a long walk on the fantastic beach or through the sand dunes or along the North Bull Wall with amazing views of Howth to... More

Many people live all their lives in Dublin not knowing that within easy reach they have a magnificent beach with wonderful walks either on the beach or in the sand tunes. For me the highlight is the bridge with which is one of the ways to access
