I love the increasing number of bronze statues I am seeing around the world. Most, make great photo ops. This sculpture depicts James Joyce as the dapper, stylish, witty and fun gentleman he was.

I think everyone should stop by this entertaining statue of James Joyce, it is right off O'Connell street at Earl Street. The statue is not your typical granite statue but one that invites you to be entertained.

Probably mostly for the James Joyce fans, but it was a great photo opportunity near O'Connell Street.

(About Homers' The Odyssey) then it's a thrill to run across this statue of the Great James Joyce. Probably even more of a thrill for a super literate fan. Impress your friends by revealing that Mr. Joyce's middle name is "Augustine Aloysius".

I think he's standing there thinking, 'what the bloody hell is that spire doing there, what a waste of money. A nice object to enjoy whilst on a walk.

Right in the center of Dublin, near the Spike, you get to stop for a minute and enjoy a photo with James Joyce! A few meters further you have the Christmas tree :) if it's the season ofc

I visited this status with family to introduce younger relatives to a great writer. Sad to see people sitting on a statue as if it was unimportant. Seemed a bit of an ill use of a monument to such a powerful thought provoking writer. Regardless...More

I have to admit, I didn't know who James Joyce was when my guide took us down North Earl Street, I now know he wrote Ulysses, wrote 'interesting...' letters to his female friends and has a statue with a cool pose in Dublin, it was...More
