Peadar Kearney’s on Dame street is a traditional pub with strong historic roots. The pub is named after a musician who composed Abhrán na BhFiann (The Irish national anthem). We continue this tradition with nightly traditional, toe tapping music. One of the regular musicians, Brian Brody, is a must see for any tourist visiting the city. He’s a one man atmosphere machine. There’s a basement bar downstairs when upstairs overflows, which also caters to most sporting events. If you’re looking for somewhere with temple bar music and atmosphere without the prices, take a look at Peadar’s.

We were going to The Deacon Blue concert in the Olympia. After been ripped off in Temple Bar this bar was refreshing and a dream come through. Great barmaid and the beer was good value and great quality. The barmaid was exceptional before the concert but the barman after it wasn't pleasant at all. We will be back here even... More

We went every morning for a month when we got kicked out of our hostel. Great fun. Very different at night. Both lots of fun. Great location and a safe place for tourists avoiding the vile beehive that is TB.

As a tourist visiting an Irish pub with live music is something you have to do. Luckily we arrived at Peadar Kearney's around 11, sat on a table and just enjoyed the amazing songs of folklore by Brian Brody! The guy is amazing, saw us having fun, and asked us where we where from, and if we would like for... More

our party LOVED this bar - we went twice (I didn't go the second time, but that was when they had a chap playing irish music and my party said he was really great and the atmosphere was good). I don't drink guiness, so very much not fitting in - don't order wine here - they clearly only do one... More

My wife has been coming to Peadar Kearney's since she first traveled to Dublin for work six years ago. The amazing thing is that the bartender, James, remembers her every time, even though she's been to Ireland at most once a year. We popped in on a busy Saturday night for live music and it seems like the tourists finally... More
