We didn't expect much for 12 Euro including "light lunch" but everything from the amazing Irish Soda bread that accompanied our extraordinary beet soup exceeded our expectations. The one woman show The Humours of Bandon in the tiny intimate theatre blew us away. We're from New York and go to shows on Broadway. If I'd paid $50 for this I... More

I chanced upon this and was glad I did. If the performance we saw is anything to go by, then do go, it was brilliant. At the moment they are performing on the top floor of the Powerscourt Townhouse, it was only about 6 or 8 euros for a ticket, I think 4 more euros for a bowl of delicious... More

My first visit here to see From Eden by Stephen Jones who also starred in it with Seána Kerslake. Wonderful show. Funny, sad, funny, tragic amazing piece of theatre. Will definitely be back. Best €10 spend EVER

I was handed a leaflet walking through the Powerscoirt Townhouse Centre and as I had two hours to wait for my airport bus decided to venture in. What a treat! I was transfixed for an hour, taken through a whole spectrum of emotions and came out wishing that I could be back the following week for the next show! Cannot... More

My family attended two different Peter Sheridan shows in August 2016 - 47 Roses and Are you having a Laugh?. Both show were very good indeed. Both shows need to be brought out to wider audiences in the Irish provinces soon.

I saw 2 short comedies at Powerscourt Townhouse today at lunchtime. They were brilliant. really dark humour and a brilliant twist that I didnt see coming. Also love the venue and the soup. Runs next week as well. Go see!!!

Wonderful and quaint! This little lunchtime theatre is a perfect way to spend an afternoon. The play was tremendous, and the meal excellent.

We visited Dublin and as we are very interested in Oscar Wilde decided we visit the Bewley Lunch theatre. We had lovely coffee but the show wasn't great. Not bad but wouldn't reccommend.

A surprise packet well worth tracking down. We saw Oscar Wilde's "The Happy Prince" while eating soup and bread. Great entertainment.

This building was one of the most iconic spots and certainly the most famous coffee shop in the country. Inside the coffee was secondary to the ambience, the buzz, the staff in traditional uniforms, the decor, wooden nooks and crannies in which to sit and read. The theatre itself was added on in later years and added yet another artistic... More
