Good quality Irish music, made me feel like I am experiencing the culture there at it's best. Loved the locals, their dancing, their clapping and them generally being so open to newcomers or tourists experiencing new things. Good vibes! Definitely crowded but worth finding a table or waiting for one.

Oliver St. John Gogarty Pub We heard the music playing from outside the Oliver St. John Gogarty Pub, and decided to stop in for lunch. We enjoyed a delicious lunch that included a large crock of steamed mussels with homemade brown bread, fish and chips, and pints of Guinness. A local group provided entertaining Irish music while we dined. The... More

This Irish "tourist centric" pub was recommended to us by Irish family as my wife wanted to hear Irish Music. I had the luxury of enjoying true Irish music at O'Donogues so the bar was set high for me. The atmosphere in Oliver St. John's was great, full of tourists and the 2 gentlemen up the front of the bar... More

another great oyster experience, after a long day walking around Dublin. It was indeed our last night there but we swear we will certainly come back. Wonderful live music, lively atmosphere, friendly staff, amazing beer ... what else do you need?

We had so much fun here, met incredible people and the service was fantastic. We were a little surprised they didn't sell crisps and nuts behind the bar but apparently that's a... More

We hit here jet lagged on December 23rd and the amazing staff made suggestions and actually extended their service to feed us. Try the cheese plate and amazing local stews and pies. Service was warm and friendly. Free santa hats and amazing music were offered. The bar is beautifully decorated with wonderful features and highlights. Bathrooms could have been a tad... More

While this pub felt a little touristy, we had a great time! It was packed for a Wednesday, but we were lucky enough to get a table right away. It took a little while to get the server's attention, but once we did the service was attentive. I had the vegetarian lasagna which was delicious and a generous portion. The... More
