The pub, the poet and the pint. In Dublin, they seem to be inseparable. The public house is where writers sharpened their wit. This two hour walking tour is led by a team of professional actors who follow in the footsteps of James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, Oscar Wilde, Brendan Behan and many others. You will hear renditions of prose, verse, drama and song from Dublin's literary hall of fame. The evening is packed with entertainment and also includes a quiz with prizes for the winners. As one critic wrote: 'A highly enjoyable evening that gives you the pleasant notion of replacing brain cells as you drown them'. Check our website for further details and to book online.

The Dublin Literary Pub Crawl was a delightful way to spend an evening. We were forutnate that our two guides were so talented and personable. Fin and Frank were professional actors who were polished in their craft and skilled in comedy ...and therefore had our group laughing all night. We "crawled" to four pubs and enjoyed Irish beer, but the... More

I'd read a number of really positive things about the crawl prior to our trip and wondered if the experience would live up to press - it surpassed it! Collum & Frank are talented actors and excellent conversationalists. The evening was a blend of performance, intro to Irish lit, and pub crawl with old friends. We had conversations with so... More

This is fun evening out, with a light hearted introduction to Irish writers and the Dublin pubs some of them frequented. A good activity for travelers wanting to have fun with a group. The readings and enactments by the guides are really well done.

Went on the tour the tour last Friday with Frank and Finbar. There was our group of 8 plus about 10 others, so it was crowded but not too much. Finbarr and Frank were great guides and acted out scenes from plays and books as we walked around the Trinity college area and visited 4 pubs. I am not an... More

Just wonderful, our guides, Frank and Finbarr, were outstanding. Fun, funny, informative, and worth so much more than the asking price! Made for a great Friday night, my fiancé and I couldn't recommend this enough!

I went on my last night in Dublin, and I had such a great time. The actors had amazing chemistry, and the (four) pubs we stopped at were all somehow relevant to the various Irish authors. There was enough time to have a drink and chat, and people attending were really interesting. Had many nice and intelligent conversations throughout the... More

We had an absolutely fantastic evening on the pub crawl! The guides stopped at places of interest and certain pubs and reenacted famous prose from Irish writers including Beckett. They were full of interesting facts and were very entertaining providing a great warm atmosphere and cracking jokes all the time. We went to around 4 pubs, each with a good... More

What a great way to spend an evening, whilst listening to snippets of Irish literature, and meeting people amongst a very cosmopolitan group. The actors were fun,and tongue in cheek whilst delivering some very informative anecdotes relating to famous Irish writers and poets. This is an absolute must whilst in Dublin.Well done Colm and Derek.

A really interesting and entertaining walk with a bit of acting, a smidgen of singing and plenty to learn about Dublin's Literary past. A fascinating and enjoyable way to spend the evening. Takes a couple of hours so eat beforehand as there is only drinking time on the tour. Thoroughly recommended!
