This monument is located directly opposite the childhood house of Oscar Wilde in a small park and near to the National Gallery - so there are other things to do in the immediate area. Unlike most monuments or life sculptures this is really colourful and...More

A statue in colors, something unusual! Small size (life-size they say) with funny looking face (picturing both comedy and tragedy, well, he was serving both as a writer...). Located at the northwest corner of Merrion Park.

Found on the corner of the square and easy to pass by and not see it. Oscar's personality is well captured in the monument. Worth a look!

Visited in passing, whilst at the national gallery, just across the road. The park was a bit scruffy, but that could have been because it was late October. Don't ignore the two smaller items attending this 'monument', the pregnant girl is beautiful.

I love Oscar Wilde so naturally I was delighted to have my photo taken next to his statue, highlight of my visit.

The monument to Oscar Wilde is a fitting tribute to him. It is situated in a corner of a lovely park quite close to where he once lived. We enjoyed reading the many sayings written on the posts adjacent to the statue.

The Oscar Wilde statue is the least that can be done to pay tribute to a brilliant individual who was shamefully treeted during his lifetime. One hopes that it will endure as long as his work will be appreciated! It is within easy walking distance...More

This park is across from his home. It is a beautiful statue of him which depending on the angle you view it looks different. They have many of his witty sayings on some posts right near the statue. Beautiful park setting.
