We got a day with fantastic weather for our walk out to the Lighthouse. We took the longer route via Ringsend, Irishtown Nature Park and Poolbeg Beach which I would recommend for the views alone. You can also drive as far as the Shelly Banks...More

A really long walk if you are planning to get there by bus! We where exhausted when we came back. Besides that, it was very beautiful.

I decided to come out here with a friend visiting town, as I'd read a Dublin Guide that suggested this was the 12th best attraction in Dublin. This is unfortunately not even the 12th best attention in Poolbeg. The lighthouse itself, is fine. It's a...More

Went there to see the view. After 1 hour walking arrived to the Lighthouse. Was great. On the road meet many people. But when arrived there was nobody. Saw the view. Ate some fruits. And came back to the town.

Nothing more refreshing that walking out to the lighthouse, on any day of the week. long enough to be counted as exercise and short enough to be an enjoyable walk. The views back into Dublin and across Sandymount are fantastic. Really worth it.

This is a hike along the "South Bull Wall" which is a water break forming the entrance to Dublin harbor. The wall is quite impressive at about 2 miles long from the shore to the end in the Irish Sea....The Poolbeg Light House is at...More

This is a great walk along the South Wall as far as the Poolbeg Lighthouse. You can watch the ferries or a cruise ship arriving and leaving while enjoying the fresh air. There's parking nearby. Wrap up well for the sea breeze and don't forget...More

Amazing place! So beautiful, but it's good to have a good physical training if you go on foot, takes around 1h30min to go and another 1h30 to return, this if you are in the port area near the 3 Arena. By bicycle it is better,...More
