Cookes Thatch Bar is one of Galway's oldest pubs. We are located in the West end of Galway City a 5 minute walk from the centre of the City. Cookes has been welcoming customers through its doors for hundreds of years.
We enjoyed hearing traditional Irish music played here during a session on a Wednesday evening. Very relaxed atmosphere and a good place to have quiet conversation with people in your party. Another good option in the Westend.
the owner didn't pay the man who did the work!
This pub should be boycotted! The owner did not pay an honourable workman & artisan who spent many hours creating a fantastic piece of traditional craft.
