About
The museum tells the fascinating story of key moments in the history of communications. Yet it is designed to be more than just a tribute to the past and a collection of historical artifacts. For it has a central tenet of inspiring today’s youth to consider science and engineering careers by highlighting the importance of innovation to human progress and the crucial contributions of young people.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had a very interesting visit to this terrific museum. I emailed the curator whose colleague welcomed me and gave me a good introduction/overview. I then spent 70 minutes or so exploring the collection, and playing some of the old (classic) computer games. There is a fascinating array of exhibits, many linked to the history of Ireland as a manufacturing, hardware and software development hub. The museum continues to develop; I’d love to go back and see the model Smart City, under construction as part of the ‘Internet of Things’ section.
