We had such an amazing and memorable time on Lough Corrib with Jim, our tour guide who was fantastic and funny, he had a great way to communicate with kids as well as adults. We kayaked with our three children, aged 10, 11 and 13 and even our teeneger said she had the best time ever. We had so much fun pier jumping, Jim even had a chocolate treat and a nice drink for us there and he took lots of pictures. I would definitely recommend this tour for families, groups and couples and we would certainly love to return for some more great time kayaking on Lough Corrib with him. Thank you, Jim, for such an amazing experience. Even the weather was on our side that day! (-:

A big thanks to Jim Morrissey of Kayakmor for a great introduction to Kayaking on Lough Corrib in Galway. You have to wander about people who want to go Kayaking in January. That said,Jim put us at ease & we were soon underway on a fantastic fun day on the Lough. If you ever feel the urge to take up this sport we would definitely recommend a trip with Jim. A fun day out. Thanks. We will be back. Denis & Patricia.

This was a marvellous experience paddling the bucolic Lough Corrib, Ireland’s largest lake. Arranged by phone prior to our holiday we met our host Jim at Kilbeg Pier 30 mins north of Galway and after a safety talk we were fully kitted out in wet suits and buoyancy aids. Despite our family being a mix of complete novices and infrequent paddlers we chose individual kayaks. We were blessed with perfect conditions, the only ripples caused by our paddles and spent the next 3 hours exploring the Lough with Jim as our guide, pointing out the local flora, fauna and surroundings. There is nothing negative to say. Weather perfect, the peace and serenity of the water unspoilt by crowds or motor craft, good company and just the right amount of time on the water. Would wholly recommend Kayakmor and Jim if you are looking for an active few hours in this beautiful part of the world

We have been having our staycation in Salthill in beautiful Galway. With Covid 19 still a potent threat, we have realised that we should have booked activities in advance of our arrival due to the high demand. I contacted Jim from Kayakmor, a little apprehensive that we had left it too late but despite a packed schedule he managed to book an extra instructor to help accommodate our booking. Excellent customer service! Upon arrival we were greeted by Ultan and Ger who are Jim's fellow instructors. The two guys were friendly and engaging and put us all at ease. Jim arrived with all the equipment and got us all kitted out and ready to go. After some clear instructions on how to manoeuvre the kayak and a quick warmup, we were all set to go. We set off along the River Corrib which was very calm, perfect for beginners. The scenery was beautiful and there were plenty of wildlife such as swans, ducks, herons etc along the river. The lads were interesting to talk to and were always vigilant although everyone got used to the kayaking pretty quickly. It's hard to think of a more enjoyable way to spend 3 hours. Kayakmor used Menlo Pier as the starting point for our trip. This is just 10 minutes outside Galway City so ideal if you are visiting Galway. I have 3 children aged 13, 10 and 7. They had a ball. I would highly recommend this activity. Well done to Jim and the lads.

We met up with Jim in Keekil beach, on the east shore of the Corrib, north of Galway city. The outing was certainly helped by sunshine that had air temperature in the late 20s (C) and water temperature in the early 20s. After introducing us to some basics in kayaking and safety Jim started to describe the lake and landscape, which he did throughout the journey. We traversed the Corrib and enjoyed a swim on its Western shore, before meandering through channels and little islands back to Keekil. A wonderful days trip and memories made. Many thanks to KayakMor, Jim and son Roan. We hope to have further excursions with them on the ocean and by night

Three teen girls and an adult couldn’t have been in safer hands exploring the vast Lough Corrib. Jim and Tim put us at ease with their pre kayak talk, checks, matching with single or double kayaks and gear and talking us through the route. Besides their experience on the waters they kept the tour interesting with commentary of the lake’s wildlife, landmarks and using the wind to our advantage. A trip we won’t forget, thank you gents! Highly recommend!!!

The tour begins with an introduction to paddling basics, you can practice paddling by the dock before you head deeper into the lake. The lake is beautiful and calming, and the tour is the perfect duration to pick up the basics while enjoying the view. All the gear is provided, carry a towel and a change of clothes incase you get wet.
I had a wonderful time kayaking on the Corrib lake. Jim is an amazing guide and instructor. He would guide and rescue me everytime I strayed into the grass. Jim is very patient and understands your learning needs to guide you accordingly. For someone who hasn't kayaked before, I am fairly confident about my newly acquired skills.

We had a super trip with Jim and his crew last week on Lough Corrib in Galway. We were a group of 14 - 3 families with young adults and teenagers. Jim + the lads looked after us well and gave each person a bit of time whether it was to improve their kayaking skill or just for a friendly chat. After 3 hours there were 14 Tired and hungry bodies at the end .Highly recommend this trip

We went kayaking with Jim and Ultan at the weekend and had such a great day for it - sun shining and no wind. We had a great time - saw ducks, a swan and her cygnets, went swimming in Lough Corrib and enjoyed the kayaking. Would recommend!

Hi. Are there 3-person kayaks, by any chance? We are 2 adults and a 12-year old girl, and would want to go out in a boat together. (We will be there in July.) Thanks!

Hi, there is one boat in the fleet that can cater for 3 ,but I would advise possibly looking at going in singles or one double and one single.

Ultan
