Great Pubs and People! Lots of restaurants to choose from and many stores to shop until you drop! Would definitely return and stay a few days.

Spent most of the day walking up and down the street, going into various shops. There are many choices for food along the way also. Plan on spending a couple of hours here.

A few places for breakfast, but mostly things don't open before 11am to eat during a weekday, but shopping started at 10am.

Lots to do - Typical Irish Pubs, very good restaurants and interesting shops. It's busy and fun all year around.

We were a bit underwhelmed with Quay St and Galway in general to be honest. I think perhaps visiting on a wet and windy October afternoon was perhaps part of the problem. Maybe a warm summer evening with music wafting around would change my mind

There are loads, so it depends on your budget. Jurys Inn would be very central, it's just off Quay St or the Meyrick which is on Eyre Square and close to the Bus & Rail Station. Connacht Hotel outside the city but there is a... More

Yes!! It was bustling every time we were there, and when talking to some restaurant servers in the area it seems to always be.
