The weather in Ireland sucks, and so does this bay - I do not see any attraction whatsoever. Galway is not worth the visit.

As a Galwegian and native of a nearby town: Loughrea, I've spent more years than I can recall around Galway "the City of the Tribes." My favourite place in the entire city is the Salthill Promenade, especially at sunset or sunrise. For visitors: there's a...More

Visited the Mrs family never ceases to amaze me we haven’t come across any bad pubs or restaurants in Galway people are friendly. But will remember to take hanger remedies next time.

Went out for a walk twice during our 3 day stay in Galway. It is quite windy and can be a little chilly, but it’s beautiful.

Not a swim for the faint of heart, but immersing yourself in the waters of Galway Bay is healing. After shaking my head, and being "dared" to join in 2011, I look forward to it every year and have been blessed enough to do just...More

A local told us about this area and said it was great for photos. He was right! But, the best part was we enjoyed the sunny day sitting on the grass and taking in the view of the buildings and the water. Nice break from...More

From the center of Galway City not very far. When you just walk down the shopping street (Quay Street) you are nearly there.

We only stayed one day and an half in Galway but the city is great. We've made a walk around the lakes of the Connemara National Park. Very beautiful !!
