Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a wonderful walking tour of Galway with Laura. Laura gave the three of us a personal tour with only a short notice. It was so kind of her. She was not only informative, but lots of fun and entertaining. You can tell she loves giving these tours and loves Galway! She’s a real Galway girl.

After the disappointing Pub Crawl tour in Dublin, the Galway yellow umbrella walking tour with Killian was enlightening. His route planning was perfect and knowledge of Irish history remarkable. Kept us entertained with interesting stories.

Brian squeezed us in at the end of a day as a favor to our driver. It was cold and rainy, but that didn't dampen his enthusiasm for his city. We got lots of fun facts and tons of history spiked with Irish stories. He even took us to a pub at the end and talked genealogy with my husband. We can't recommend his tour enough! He also steered us clear of some unsavory characters trying to befriend unsuspecting Americans.

Brian Nolan gave us a walk from Atlantic School to the port, the cathedral and the university. He talked history, sociology, business, etc. It shows that he knows his Galway.

Our guide grew up in The Claddagh and really knows his city. We saw hidden gems (like parts of the original medieval city walls displayed on the lower floor of a shopping mall - we would never have seen this on our own). We also went into a pottery store to see samples of full and half fireplaces in an Elizabethan house, our guide knew all the stories and historical significance of the churches and market houses and even the house of a James Joyce paramour.
Great value - super introduction to an amazing city.

Brian Nolan was a great tour guide! I loved his stories and his sense of humor. Got to know about Galway in a great way with my study abroad group, thanks Brian!

Our group from Real Irish Travel enjoyed the walking tour led by Brian. Due to Brian's advice, we ended our tour enjoying a pint at O'Donnel's pub. It was grand!

On the 14th of April myself and my two children (12 and 14), did a walking tour of Galway city with Brian Nolan. It was a fantastic tour. Weaving the current political topics, current land marks, past world events with the history of the city, all the while keeping the group engaged and moving through the streets of Galway, Brian Nolan is the Pied Piper of walking tour guides.
No one noticed the slight drizzle and over cast weather.

My wife and I spent a long weekend in Galway, however we thought what better way to get the most out of the fantastic city than book a guided tour by someone who’s local. Contacted Brian through FB and all communication then on was superb.
The meet was arranged outside O’Connells(in-fact, went back there for a pint in the evening) and was delighted to meet Brian and the small group that would be on the tour.
Spent the morning covering the sites and history of Galway and plenty of time to stop and ask questions. Unscripted, no clip board, Brian is extremely knowledgeable, very engaging and very humorous!
Definitely worth putting one of Brian’s tours on your itinerary if ever in Galway.
His impromptu Taxi service was first class(for two Londoners who had no sense of direction)

I have tours in the mornings and evenings during the summer season. During the winter, tours are by demand. If I have no bookings I have no walks. Let me know a date when you will be in Galway.

is the tour at a fast pace? I am a slow walker due to a stroke.

Relaxed and I'm sure you could request a shorter walk if distance is an issue.
How do I book it? I would like to take a walking tour, we are staying jury Inn.

Sorry for delay... I took a short winter break. I will walk any day that there is demand for a tour. Easiest way is to book through the website galwaywalks ...comes straight to my phone...unlike the tripadvisor questions... my apologies that I missed you. Hopefully you will be back again in Galway and we can walk the city together...while the city is easy to get around, having the hidden history explained by me or another guide is the added plus. Brian
