We visited this great pub in Galway in May. It is somewhat off the tourist path and obviously a favourite pub for locals. One cool evening, there was a peat fire blazing in the fireplace, which added to the cozy and warm atmosphere. The Guinness...More

This place was awfully cool and seemed like more of a local hang out than a tourist place - at least in late May when we were there it did. Live music, affordable pints and tons of life fill this small pub. Everything about this...More

Avoid this place. Too many nosy people around. If you just want a quiet pint after work or whenever, stay well clear. People asking you a thousand questions and people constantly looking at you. It is really creepy

I spent many delightful nights in this pub when I was studying abroad in Galway. Far fewer tourists than down on Shop Street, cheaper beer, authentic music, and some really lovely fellow patrons... what more could you want?

A small pub with a wonderful atmosphere For all who don't like the loud and overcrowded venues but prefer a cosy and friendly location.

This place made our trip. The boss, Doc, "Jock with a D" manages to combine friendliness, courtesy and a twinkle in the eye at 100mph. The staff and locals are equally friendly, chatty and funny at a more sedate pace. The atmosphere is welcoming at...More

This is a small pub just off Galway City Centre. You get to meet the locals and many other nationalities that call in for a great pint & music. Wednesday night they had a couple of local musicians - playing traditional music - fiddle, tin...More
