a gorgeous detour back to kenmore from West Cork. I had the place to myself and felt very at one with the surrounding nature. Well signposted and informative. And yep did a wish inside the fairy fort!!

Only about 5 or 6 things to look at but quite a walk up the hill. There is a stone circle and famine house but you can find better examples other places. We have been to Ireland 3 times and considered this place a waste...More

Wonderful collection of pre-historic and historic sites in the park. First time seeing a ringfort and the stone circle was great. Looked for a few other stone circles throughout Beara but were difficult to find. A number of other burial sites and a famine house...More

We came here with a member of the local parish and the Heritage Park. What a treat to have such a knowledgeable guide. This park is certainly worth taking your time to search out. So much history.

I have been to Kerry, several times but this was a first to Bonane. With two boys aged 22 and 18 and a husband, finding something for all ages proved often difficult! Outside and clambering often seemed the best option. Bonane was a good choice,...More

The site comprises a ring fort, a stone circle, standing stones and other historic sites that are found on a mainly circular hard surfaced path. However, you need to be ready for a steep and quite long climb to reach the sites, all of which...More

Would thoroughly recommend a visit to this site, the surroundings are fantastic, an it is a wonderfully maintained site. My husband is unable to walk very far, but we were allowed to take the car up the steep climb, which was brilliant!

So much history in one spot. Everything you remember learning at school! €4 or €10 for a family and worth every penny. Steep uphill climb for a bit but the views are amazing and so much to see; ring fort, stone circles, famine ruins, fulacht...More
