If you are planning a trip to Ireland give yourself enough time to do this drive. You can use a tour bus to take you around, but if you want to take your time to really enjoy the beauty of this country rent a car......More

Coming from Ennis and Adare, our tour group then headed to Killorglin (home of the King Puck Festival), passing the statue of King Puck, then on to Waterville, Sneem, through Molls Gap and the Killarney National Park and into Killarney. Our bus driver, George, has...More

What a treat indeed. The spectacular views along with narrow roads and rickety carriage make induces nostalgia I could only assimilate to watching the very old movie 'Ryan's Daughter'. A very proud Irish culture can be appreciated when you take in the many breathtaking views....More

Beautiful scenery all along the Ring of Kerry and the roads will be narrow and undulating in spots, but all that would be acceptable except for ending up behind a bus going 15-20 mph for an extended period of time with no place to pull...More

We traveled the Ring of Kerry from Killarney and back by bus tour and to be honest, I am so glad we did it that way. The roads are narrow and winding, with lots of changes in elevation and not for the faint of heart....More

Should have done some homework :( We were expecting more of a attraction but found out this is more of a drive. The scenery is beautiful but the drive can be long and the roads very winding. Would definitely recommend seeing this attraction via a...More

We were lucky enough to drive most of the way round the Ring of Kerry on a dry and sunny spring day, so we saw the scenery at its very best. We drove round the ring from Killarney to Kenmare, stopping at Ballyvourney and Sneem....More

My husband and I took a group tour around Ireland, and one of the days we did a bus tour of the Ring of Kerry. It rained on us off and on all day, but the views were spectacular, so it was worth getting wet!

We went with friends at a time 6.30 p.m. where the restaurants are very full. Even though it was crowded we were seated very quickly by a charming waiter. Drinks and food orders went quickly and the quality was outstanding. Lots of Irish dishes (like...More

We enjoyed the trip around Ring of Kerry with the beautiful scenery very different to Cape Breton in Canada with the lakes you need the full day as roads narrow and travel very slow but it is a must see when you are in Ireland.

Can be done but a very good chance you will spend the day driving rather than taking in and enjoying the sites. Not really recommended unless you have no other options.
