The Skellig ring is a road loop at the west end of the Iveragh Peninsula to the west of the Ring of Kerry. Here the beauty is special with mountains very close to the sea. Perhaps our favorite site was Valentia Island, which is now...More

Very small road but it's amazing. The drivers are very understanding, so no problem at all although the road is small. The view is just so beautiful. You don't want to miss it.

That’s it has been described. The drive along the coast is amazing. Drivers are amazingly polite as the roads can be narrow. The views are magnificent all along the wild Atlantic coast. Skellig Micheal is an Island across that has been made famous as Star...More

Skellig ring offers some great views of the ocean with several pull off sites for viewing. Narrow roads and slow traffic, so allow plenty of time.

The drive on the Skellig Ring is an offshoot of the Ring of Kerry. Alot less people come to these rocks and views. I was definitely worth the hour plus diversion. We stopped at Kerry Cliffs which was more remote feeling and more impressive that...More

The Skelling Ring is definitely worth to drive. If you come from the North take the ferry from Cahersiveen to Knightstown to Valentia Island, because the part between Cahersiveen and Portmagee is the least. The roads are very narrow with beautiful views.

This is a wonderful place to visit and this road takes you along the coastline with fantastic views and if that was not enough you can stop at Skelligs Chocolate where you can have free samples of the wonderful Chocolates

Our B &B host recommended we go to Valencia Island and this was tops, we enjoyed Bray head and the views and walks from Geokaun Mountain & Fogher Cliffs. The views of Dingle bay are incredible and it was fun walking into to winds too....More

The most beautiful views are along to coast on the Skellig Ring. Every time we visit Ireland I have to go there. You will fall in love with the area, promise!

We had to wait for a clear day but it was worth it. The drive is on very narrow roads so beware if you are a skittish driver. Took us to the Kerry Cliffs which are 1000 ft above the sea and very windy with...More

It seems people take it from whatever direction they're travelling from: from Waterville it would be clockwise, from Cahersiveen it would be counter clockwise. Personally, i'd recommend clockwise. As soon as you turn off the... More
