We traveled during Easter week. Had a wonderful time exploring the grounds, had a great picnic and pick up football game with other families. Food selection and quality were a great value and the kids had a great time in the gardens and exploring the...More

In order to see the house, you have to take the paid tour which was well worth it. It only is given at certain times of the day so you just have to plan for it. Unfortunately you are not allowed to take pictures inside...More

While the hour and a half guided tour could have been compressed a bit, it was well worth the time investment and entry fee. Great stories about the rise and fall of the families who owned the House, the 1860 visit by Queen Victoria, but...More

We were only able to view the house from the outside. Despite the winter hours listed on the website of 9 am to 5 pm, the tours are only between 11:00-3:30 after November 1. Ross Castle was closed for the season.

We enjoyed our guided tour of the house and walk around the gardens. Worth a stop if in Killarney. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave a very nice tour of the lovely house. An interesting window into the past.

Built in 1843AD, Muckross House is a magnificent example of a British Victorian mansion and one of Ireland's leading stately homes. Today it is located inside the Killarney National Park. The elegantly furnished rooms portray the lifestyles of the landed gentry, and downstairs shows the...More

The Muckross House and Gardens are a beautiful part of the Irish countryside. The weather was perfect for a Fall visit with a sunny day and the grounds were green and lush. The history of the Muckross House is preserved here.

You will need to provide more information. What hotel are you staying at? Most hotels will arrange horse riding for a small fee. I am unsure about clay pigeon shooting.
