It is without doubt a stunning view. We were there at dusk, which was magical, to soak up the feel of the park as the light slowly drifted away. We spent about 20mins there before hopping back into the car (it was VERY cold!)

This is your first of many outstanding views if you are doing the ring of Kerry clockwise. It is gorgeous but for me it was a point of reckoning. It was hear that I realized that the next 120 miles held some of the most challenging driving roads I have ever driven in a van!

A lovely place to pull in & enjoy the view high over the gorgeous lakes of Killarney. There was once what looks like a visitor centre/restaurant which obviously has been derelict for some time but now looks like there is building going on there so hopefully it will reopen soon & they will clean up the area as people have... We were there in the dusk of a December evening, and the valley still looked amazing. We could only imagine (and later see in the pictures on the walls at several places in Killarney) how does it look in a sunny, colorful day. Judging by those pictures in Killarney, this is one of those classic must-see views you have to... More

The view is one of the most beautiful, non-coastal ones in Ireland. The area can be busy at peak times, so be careful on the road, especially with children. There really should be more spacious parking lots.
