Gorgeous national park that can, and should, be enjoyed in lots of ways - walking, hiking, boating trips, driving through. You can easily plan on spending more than one day here.

Visited in November and was stunned by the beauty of this park. We looked at pictures before going and took some great pics ourselves but honestly they don't do this place justice at all.

Killarney Park is a real oasis of calm - you can walk within it for miles and the only traffic is the odd tractor at work or jaunting cars. We walked through the park as far as Killarney Golf and Fishing Club and stopped for a very pleasant lunch at the club house - great view from here of the... More

One should try to circle the park by car but also spare some time to contemplate the different view it offers, especially the one from the Lady's View. It is a great program for family with kids and nature lovers, as you may get in touch with local fauna.

This place would actually give you goosebumps! It is ideal for both couples and families. I would recommend the jaunting cars as it's an amazing experience. You could literally spend all day walking around and discovering new things. Make sure you have comfortable shoes on as there's so much to see and do. A great day out for everyone is... More

Killarney National Park is a must see in the area. Take a full day to explore the park and Muckross House. You'll feel slighted if you don't. Highly recommend taking a horse drawn carriage and get the local history story as well. It's a lot of walking so the carriage is well worth the money

Did the jaunting carts for about an hour and with the horse going at a steady clip, the humorous storyteller of a guide/rider and the presence of other enthusiastic riding companions, it was an altogether lovely experience. Yes, the wind was blowing and we had blankets for those who needed it. (This was in May and a blowing wind certainly... More
