Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow what a racecourse! The setting is amazing and a visit is highly recommended for any racegoer. We had tickets in the Panoramic Restaurant which was superb. The food was first class and plenty of staff for regular service to the table. Lovely having a balcony overlooking the course too. Incredible setting and a must for all racing fans to experience!

We travelled from the UK and spent eight days in Killarney in July. Our visits to Killarney Racecourse was the highlight of our trip. Killarney Racecourse is without doubt one of the most picturesque in the World set with a backdrop of the Mountains. We went to one evening meeting and one afternoon meeting. On each occasion we booked in the Panoramic Restaurant and the service and meal was first class. The afternoon meeting was 'Ladies Day' and the ladies ceratinly put on a show - including the 'Rose of Tralee' who was one of the guests in the Restaurant. I cannot wait to return and a visit is thoroughly recommended.

The best summer weather Ireland coincided with visit to arguably the prettiest of the racecourses of Ireland ... if you are lucky enough to have the chance to visit through this annual race festival i would encourage you to attend as it is a well run race meeting for the week and the town provides wonderful entertainment and craic after the races each day... wonderful atmosphere ... and all the better if you have a win on the horses...

Came to this part of the world having read a review in the Racing Post about 10-12 years ago. Situated in the Killarney National Park it is simply in an awesome place. The course is only just over a mile round which means you are never far from the action. This is not a Group 1 track so some of the racing is not of the highest standard, but a good proportion is, and there is some very good quality and competitive fare. However with the backdrop of the mountains and Lough Leane I have not found a more beautiful place to go racing, and it is invariably attended by a good-sized and well-humoured crowd. It is also very close to the town and easy to access.

I love horse racing but this track didn't disappoint. I've been to the Kentucky Derby and many other tracks around the US but this track was beautiful. All the races were on turf and you get get up close to the horses. The people were wonderful.

We originally booked a 'hospitality' package which included a carvery, but the rang us a few days before and changed it to a surf n turf bbq. The course was incredibly friendly, and as we were there as a couple they added us on to a table of visiting Americans which made for a very interesting and entertaining evening. The racecourse has fantastic views of the surrounding countryside, the drinks were reasonably priced, and the bbq was plentiful. Great craic, but please dont go with expectations of a top clash British course - this is far more informal.

We had never been to a track with bookies advertising odds and didn't know what to expect. It was a hoot! Walk up and down among 15-20 bookies. Odds vary little between them but if you find your horse at a better price, that price stays for the payoff. Not like pool betting.

We were lucky to be in town for the Killarney Race Festival and decided to attend. We got our tickets online while still in Houston which made it easy to enter. We walked to the races from our B&B (Windway House) and were glad that we did; the car traffic is terrible. It was fun to be among the crowd walking to and from the race course and great people watching. Although not required to dress up, I'm glad that we did. Some of the men and women go all out; suits, ties, dresses, hats. Making a wager and getting a pint are easy. We had some fabulous burgers at a small take away place on the ground floor of the stands. If you are in town, it's a good bet :-)
