It's hard to see these shops as stables because the interiors are so nice. These shops aren't full of cheap souvenirs. This is where you go when you want beautiful pottery, scarves, blankets. They use the horizon card, so if you are a non-EU resident, they put the tax information on a card that you swipe at the airport when... More

This is easily found next to the Castle and is worth spending time to go through. The artworks and handcrafts are unique, pleasing and well priced. It also features a Kitch restaurant which I chose for lunch. The food is always well prepared and well priced. The staff was helpful and friendly.

My most favourite place to relax while dining out in Kilkenny. This is my third time dining at Anocht which is located in the upstairs of Kilkenny Design Centre and again it has surpassed expectation. The food is absolutely amazing quality for their early bird option - 3 courses for €28, the wine (who can fault it) and the staff... More

We had shopped here in 2000, and liked it so much that we sought it out for this trip. We took a tour from Dublin that included Kilkenny. They have such a great array of products, all good quality. Also, they have nice restrooms above the store, which was a welcome find. There is a Kilkenny store in Dublin, but... More

Had a sandwich which was very tasty. Price for same with 1 tea and a coffee was almost €12. There is a great choice of wholesome food to cater for all.

The seafood chowder was creamy and full of seafood (very few potatoes/carrots) and absolutely superb, as was the brown bread and dessert with an extra scoop of fresh whipped cream. My friend had the vegetable soup that she raved about as well as the bread and dessert. Cappuccino was also excellent.

This store / design centre has an iconic name for stocking Irish produced clothes / goods etc and is situated opposite the castle. A good selection of products although I was surprised to see a lot of Barbour clothes for sale being an iconic English clothes manufacturer. Prices vary from reasonable to very expensive however we managed to buy a... More

It's great to have a shop where sure what you're buying is made in that country! They have all different price points, from inexpensive to fairly costly. I ended up buying some tea towels and Connemara marble. Very friendly and helpful salespeople also.
