The actual brewing of the beer has moved to Dublin, but this location has a great educational tour. I loved the talking portraits which gave the tour a touch of Disneyland. We picked the beer paddle with a taste of all three products. The overall...More

We've been to a few breweries and distillers on our travels and they become more or less the same format. However the exciting part is learning about the different types of beer etc. This was a 30 minute hosted by Simon who was witty and...More

This tour was much more sophisticated than I expected. For those who have done the Guinness tour in Dublin, you will recognize some stylistic similarities as they are the same company now. However, this tour is guided and smaller than its Dublin counterpart, yet still...More

Enjoyed the tour of Smithwicks. Fun use of electronics to show the history of the brewery. Our guide was very fun and engaging. And of course the ale was excellent.

Very interesting tour into beer making. You get to learn lots of details about the company and the beer making progress in a very fun way. At the end you get to either drink 1 pint(13€) or a sample of 3 beers (16€). Simon, our...More

Just over an hour via rail from Dublin. Kilkenny is a delightful little town-going to Smithwick's was the icing on the cake. Good tour-great tasting! Very nice gift shop as well.
