I walked over to view the church before noon and got run over by about 50 girls in school uniform going in so I ran away.... I think they were having a function of some sort.

We stumbled upon this cathedral as we were walking around Kilkenny. This cathedral has a beautiful altar with lovely mosaics. Just stunning. Highly recommend visiting! There is no fee to enter.

Another beautiful church in Ireland. We were able to spend some quiet time in this lovely church and lit a candle at the feet of Mary's statue.

We were actually going to the cafe, which was amazing and would strongly recommend! The cathedral itself was very ordinary and nothing to special.

If you are a cathedral nut you will enjoy a short visit here. Beautiful mosaics, nice stone work. It's not Italian or French so set your expectations accordingly, if you do you will not be disappointed.

Lots of restoration and a lot to go, but what has been preserved is impressive. The windows and mosaics are quite nice. Pleasant place to wander for 1/2 hour

The vathedral was an unexpectant find whilst walking. Well preserved and free to enter. The stained glass windows are stunning.

Unless you go fancy for neogothic style it might not be worth a visit: the mosaics on the ceiling are beautiful!

We got confused at first and thought this was the Abbey, but once we went inside, we were really appreciative of the impressive architecture of this magnificent cathedral. Parking around the place is a mess though. Free.
