What a pleasure to meet Cara and hear about her lovely home. We really enjoyed our time here and left feeling really delighted that we had been. There is something so much more inviting about visiting a home rather than a monument

The tour is very interesting, the guide was amusing and knowledgeable and the family history, house and paintings are definitely worth the visit. We were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming and friendly. There is also a beautiful garden and lovely little church and graveyard. Yes the car museum is very small with only two cars but there is a genuine racing pedigree in the Vauxhall Viva which was driven by the owner's mother. Don't be put off by the fact that the grounds aren't enormous, they are still beautiful. There are no tea rooms at the house but there are within a five minute drive. We normally wouldn't review a day trip but we really enjoyed today and felt it deserved a good review. We took a day trip from Dublin and finished it with a trip to Monasterboice near by which is amazing. Mellifont Abbey too is very close. - Couple in their 40s from Dublin.

Gorgeous grounds surround this architectural treasure. Set along the Boyne as it travels out to sea, this area is usually ignored by (or simply unknown to) tourists. But coupled with a trip to Baltray and one to Termonfeckin, this makes a great day out.

Outstanding home and magnificent grounds. We had such a good stay while we were here. Would strongly suggest this property for your next stay. Additionally, the owner is an
outstanding woman and very pleasant. We can't wait until we come back!

The house is very nice, including the entrance leading to it. The tour of the house was very insightful and detailed. There are lots of paintings of people who lived in this house, all from different generations. However, I would have loved it if there was some upkeep maintenance being done in this house. Certain parts of the house require attention. The gardens are worth a visit while here. Definitely not to be missed. There are also horses. Lovely experience!

This was very interesting, the guide is extremely knowledgeable and brings history to life . I completely recommend a visit. Good value at €10.
Not suitable for small children, you have to listen to the guide.

Visited this house on a damp & dismal Irish summer day recently & by the way if you can`t find it & ask a local, tell them you are looking for Bewley House. When we arrived we were the only two visitors but despite this we were warmly welcomed by the guide, Noel Bailey, who made our visit most entertaining & enjoyable. It is a modest house by the standard of some of the "stately" homes around but a unique survivor & well worth a visit. If you are interested in the history of the English settlers / Irish of Drogheda & north Leinster, Noel is a mine of information & anecdotes about the families who have lived in the house & their marriages to other Anglo Irish families & the general history of the local area. It is still a family home but filled with some beautiful examples of furniture & paintings which show how "the other half" lived over the last 300 years. There was a notice saying the tour was 40 mins but we must have been there the best part of two hours which passed quickly listening to Noel's stories & witticisms. Thanks Noel & to boot the weather cleared up while we were there & we got to walk in the gardens when we were leaving. PS despite what it says on the website the Car Museum is no more.

Noel Bailey you are a wee star! My wife and I, on our crusade to visit, and stay in, all 32 counties in Ireland visited Beaulieu House yesterday - 23/7/2015, We nearly didn't get there - due to stupidity - ours! Arrived at 4 pm. The last tour was to happen at 4.15pm. Noel Bailey was kindest itself. A man who loves his county - Louth, and loves his town, Drogheda. My wife and I were promised our 45 min tour which turned into 1 hour and 15 mins. I appreciate there were only the two of us on the tour but we have never enjoyed a tour so much. So much irreverent craic (that's fun) and so much love for a place he does not own. The Lady of the House should be very proud and appreciative of Noel, and no we are not related! After the tour we walked the grounds and the graveyard and church. There were some lovely kids playing in the garden, who were very friendly. We got a wave from the Lady of the house. All just lovely and very friendly. Toured the wee museum. Give this lovely old house a visit. It needs your money, just to keep it going. I fully intend to get back there, hopefully to do a B & B visit. Really lovely.

Close to the river Boyne and Baltray Village the house and walled gardens date c17th century and are well worth a visit. Open during June to September the entry fee of €10 (free to under 16s) and includes a guided tour of approx 40 mins. Our guide had extensive knowledge of the house, the paintings, the Plunkett family and times they lived in. The walled gardens spread over a large area and remain in their original design are included in the visit and are lovely to stroll on a fine day. There is B&B accommodation available in the summer time for visiting guests and the venue may be hired for weddings. Lovely house and well worth a visit.

Brought mam here. She loved it. Bit of an unusual collection of artefacts and racing exhibit to boot! But the grounds were lovely and the staff, maybe owners of the place?, were really interesting.
