Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a pleasure to meet Cara and hear about her lovely home. We really enjoyed our time here and left feeling really delighted that we had been. There is something so much more inviting about visiting a home rather than a monument

As we visited the motor museum we took the monorail to the garden and palace
The garden was beautiful but will be much nicer in the summer

Visited Beaulieu House with a group whose special interest is genealogy/family history and this was a perfect destination.
Cara is a most charming hostess and also an informative tour guide, welcoming visitors by arrangement to what is still her own family home. This house is well maintained, with impressive decor, and is full of interesting items relating to the family's long history there and to the locality (Drogheda). The gardens are extensive and lovely.

I grew up on the south side of the Boyne river and during winter when the leaves were off the trees I could see Beaulieu house from my bedroom window.
However my visits to Beaulieu happened after the death of my father ( who is buried beside the little church in Beaulieu grounds ) and I have had the guided tour of the house , the gardens and visited the graveyard quite a few times.
The house is full of history going back over 400 years and though only open for a few months of the year to the public , it is well worth including on your list of places to visit.

A beautiful house with gardens that are a feast for the senses. Despite its short opening time, Beaulieu house is a treasure in a hidden oasis. The tour is worth taking as it provides visitors with a history of the house and its place in the local area. As the house is only open in the summer the garden is always in full bloom and the only limit is the number of visitors it can accommodate in a day. Don't miss it.

Can you get there by public transportation? Is it near a village?

Hello there Beaulieu is close' ish to Termonfeckin Village and Baltray Village on the L6327.
There is a bus service from the main bus depot in John Street in Drogheda. This is the link for local services. Ask the bus driver when to let you off close to Beaulieu or ask at the bus station. I'm sure people will help. Im not allowed to share website address on this page but google get there. ie drogheda-baltray
Alternatively, the taxi is €10 each way and there are plenty of taxis in the town.
Kind regards,
Cara
