It is quite a drive out here with good but limited views. Cliffs of Moor offers more to see. Achill has a golf course that includes playing around sheep, which is a fun idea if not entirely practical. There is a 6 week high season...More

Our Notre Dame alumni group made a day trip to Achill Island. Grand vistas along the ocean. Beautiful beaches. An interesting deserted village of stone cottage ruins. Lots of sheep.

Just enjoy the stunning and dramatic scenery, even if the weather is terrible, it's still a wonderful experience. The roads are quiet and there are plenty of places to stop to admire the amazing views. Some of the roads are much smaller than you might...More

On my trip I was lucky to have a bus driver who drove down to Keel Beach on Achill Island, to say the view is breath taking is an understatement !

Drove along some parts of the Wild Atlantic Way and decided to drive to Achill Island. It's a great place to drive too and the views are stunning! Keem beach with bright bluey / green sea and mountaintops in the background. Just beautiful!

Narrow winding roads, and people driving much too fast. Nail biting experience driving to Keem Bay in the driving rain with fog and sheep in the middle of the road. - Driver beware - especially Americans:)

Really depends on how many stops you make and the weather. We spent a full day there....I'd spend a day if you can. There is so much to see. We stopped at Minaun Hill (spectacular views and you can drive to the top!), the... More
