We came here as a couple to play golf as we could not get onto the nearby Tullamore Golf Club which was full.
What a fantastic course, a real hidden gem , very pleasantly surprised.
Almost every hole had a character of its own.
Quite a few ‘blind’ shots which somehow added to the appeal.
Great condition all round and a good little clubhouse- the lady working there could not have been more helpful.
Recently played a course near Galway which charged 80 Euro each and was not a patch on this fun charismatic course which only cost 30 euro.
If you are in the area give this place a go, I doubt you will be disappointed.
We walked away smiling- a bit like all of the ‘big Shane’ Lowry pictures that adorn the place. This used to be his home course. Happy to recommend 🏌️‍♀️.

Great test of golf some tricky blind shots but overall a really nice course, traveled from UK stayed near course on recommendation of staff who couldn't have been more helpful, but that's what you would expect from lovely Irish people.

THANKS

We went with 88 women to Esker Hills Golf Club for a fun day away and what a welcome we got. Caroline and Ray looked after us so well, we had a great time with tea and lovely scones before we faced the hills of Esker. Its a beautiful course with lots of interesting holes and views. A buggy is a must! We look forward to returning to Lowry country and having another go at Esker Hills.

What can you say about Esker Hills? It’s the most friendliest, welcoming and courteous golf club in Ireland if not anywhere in the world. To Ray and all the great staff take a bow. All the guys in our group were stunned by the hospitality shown to us. Continued success to all in Esker Hills. Well done Ray & co.

One of my favourite courses in Ireland. I hope they never spend money on the ancillaries- it's great value and a fantastic test of golf. Each hole demands an accurate tee shot and the greens are very very fair. They run true and although they were bare and just after being fertilised, there wasn't a bump to be found on them. The bunkers are well sanded with quality material. Staff are courteous and friendly. The ancillaries (houses and clubhouse etc.) may look bare and dated but the welcome isn't and I came to play golf. I had a lovely chat in the club bar afterwards with a local non golfer. If you get a hilly lie off the tee, then you will be punished with a green side bunker on the left of the green. All the par 3s are memorable. Lovely wooded areas and full of views.

A gem of a golf course. Hilly, beautiful, tricky, every hole different. What’s not to like. Stay on the fairways and you’ll do great. Even land off fairway and ball generally rolls back to safely. I love this course. Thrilled I found it. Pat was extremely helpful and welcoming. Lads doing maintenance on course equally friendly and helpful. Give this course a try!!! Well worth it

My first visit, but won’t be my last. The course is unique with no two holes the same, and is in lovely condition. Wonderfully hospitable and friendly. Well worth the visit to Lowry Country.

layout of this course is among the best I have played. I would recommend hiring a buggy to get the full enjoyment as it is very hilly. 1 downside is the condition of the locker rooms. I was surprised by that.

I returned to Esker Hills yesterday, 8/10/21 with our Golf Society. As always, Ray and his staff were great hosts, the food delicious, and terrific value.
The Golf course was in fantastic condition, with the greens lightning fast, and bunkers in exceptional condition. This Golf course is a great test of your game. I can't wait to return in the future.

Played here yesterday for the first time in a few years and it is still a fantastic course. A lot of rain has fallen over the last few days, but it was still in great condition with no wet patches. The greens were also in super condition for this time of year. A really great golf challenge and I look forward to coming back.

Lastly, a shout out to the lady working in the clubhouse (Caroline). Very friendly and you get the impression they are really happy to have you there. Something that would be somewhat uncommon nowadays in many golf clubs.

Looking forward to another visit in the very near future.
