Excellent test of golf
Dec 2020
Played here yesterday for the first time in a few years and it is still a fantastic course. A lot of rain has fallen over the last few days, but it was still in great condition with no wet patches. The greens were also in super condition for this time of year. A really great golf challenge and I look forward to coming back. Lastly, a shout out to the lady working in the clubhouse (Caroline). Very friendly and you get the impression they are really happy to have you there. Something that would be somewhat uncommon nowadays in many golf clubs. Looking forward to another visit in the very near future.

Fantastic design

The late Christy O Connor Jr. transformed Eskers, mounds and the natural terrain on this piece of land into a wonderful golf challenge.

Great Staff and Hilly Course
Dec 2019 • Friends
Esker Hills staff really make this course. They are extremely helpful. We hired clubs and walked the course after a few days of bad weather. The course had held up nicely however it’s a extremely tough course to walk. Very hilly! You well and truely earn your pint. It’s a relatively inexpensive course and well worth a visit. Be warned this is a tough course to play but really enjoyable. Plenty of doglegs and greens are a challenge. Key notes for people travelling in winter: - They hire clubs - Push buggy hire and Golf Carts are available - Course handles the weather well

Golf Society outing
Oct 2019 • Friends
We had our society weekend away in Tullamore this year and played Esker Hills on Saturday. This is a not a golf course for the faint hearted as it is a really tough test and best suited to the long hitting low handicapper. The course was in great condition. It is a very hilly course and a buggy should be considered. The members are very friendly and also rightly proud of Shane Lowry’s achievements. The staff are very friendly and efficient and especially Caroline who was a joy to deal with.

Lovely Golf Club
Oct 2019 • Friends
Lovely golf club and a great course as well. The home course of Shane Lowrey by the way. The golf course is long so a buggy may be required. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and breakfast is super definitley worth a visit if your in the area.

Great Course
Aug 2019
Visited at the end of August, course was in great condition considering the amount of rain during the of August month. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great value for money. Course makes you think about your shots which is good, its not a place to pull out the biggest club and smash it. Will return next year.

Though place

Hilly, dog legs, narrow, pouring rain windy. You get it all for little money. Home of Shane Lowry, if your play well here you can play anywhere or win the Britin Open. Had our private competition among friends and it was enjoyable. Nice folks at the club house.

Terrible buggies, the steering wheel was basically rust and it just cut out randomly all day,
Aug 2019 • Friends
Stay away from buggy 29, you could lift the seat up it was so rotten and grime covered it, the steering wheel was rust, it cut out all day and there was a terrible smell from the petrol. Also the cart paths were basically a haven for potholes and was not a nice feeling hitting some. I’ll come back when they reinvest in the buggy’s. Course could do with a little tlc also
