Fine architecture with a world of history attached including the tomb of Phelim O'Conor a high king of Ireland. My GG Grandfather is also buried there much to my surprise! It was too cold to concentrate so come in summer.

I can see why people have trouble finding this place. The only way we knew it existed was because we were staying in the Abbey hotel. There is ample parking and a nice gravel path to the entrance. Information on the ruins is also provided.

Roscommon Dominican Friary church is almost impossible to find. Guide books say that it is near the railway station- perhaps as the crow flies it is- but as your average tourist travels it is not. The only hint that it exists is the Abbey Hotel....More

It's situated behind the garden from Abbey Hotel.You can park(free) next to the spa building. I like architecture and fotografie. Here I had the two together.
