Henry Downes established 1797. Thomas Street, on a little hill. Opens late in the afternoon. Nooks and crannies. Has its own bottled whiskey as well as all the usuals. There's a well and ancient hollowed out logs for pipes. Great atmosphere and a great tour...More

We arrived late in the evening to a festive atmosphere. It is a fun place for any age. They brew their own whiskey (#9) which is very smooth. The service was great.

This is a great unpretentious pub. It has bundles of character which stems from the owners. In a quite location in Waterford it has a variety of customers. The layout is great. No noisy music bangs out and conversation is the name of the game....More
