Went here with family.Coffee house not open for the new year. Have visited before and can couch for the coffee house being a nice part of the visit. Really nice series of walks around the abbey made out now. They are well explained and simple to follow. The visit to the abbey itself is worth a whirl.

Been to the abbey a few times and it's a well maintained piece of Irish history. Recently we found out about some new walking trails though the forests which are really super. Good walkways ensure no muddy shoes in your car afterwards, always a plus. A number of different colour coded trails from the Abbey, one of which ends at... More

A very worthwhile destination for people who appreciate history, formal gardens or a relaxed place to pass a quiet few hours with small children. The ruins have been repaired and are well maintained by the OPW. The journey there is a treat in itself as the situation is a treat for eye and ear. Tintern Abbey has much to offer... More

Really nice place if you want to go for a walk. Was there with the dog and had a great walk Christmas morning. Used to run around there as a child before any type of renovation started so was very impressed with the work they are doing there.

Well worth a visit, very impressive setting. The abbey itself is astounding. Great place to bring kids as lots to distract. Walks, bridges, various routes, old stone little building etc

Tintern Abbey (not to be confused with the Welsh abbey of the same name… which founded this one) is a small but very interesting ruined abbey in Wexford, Ireland. We took a guided tour, with a wonderful, informative guide. The heritage officials have removed the Georgian house that once clogged up the interior of the abbey, so the real deal... More

Arrive early before the crowds to enjoy the beauty of the buildings as well as location. Treat yourself to a little something from the cafe too!

We stopped here because it was on the way from Hook Lighthouse to New Ross - and were not disappointed at all! This was an amazing Abbey and the history behind it and the family with all its generations who lived here were absolutely fascinating. We were fortunate to have such an excellent tour guide - who really enjoyed telling... More

beautiful abbey with lots to see and also great walks near by. I would definitely recommend the guided tour as you receive some great information and history about the abbey. The walled garden is also beautiful and definitely worth a stroll.
